Grade 8 Science

This week we will beginning our unit on Cells and Systems. We will start the unit by investigating a topical question about viruses. This will lead us into a conversation about characteristics of living things and ultimately into cells. I will update this blog with topics as we go, depending on how far we get. Please look at the daily schedule (linked below) for exactly what we do each day. Topics for this week:

This week we will begin our unit on Biological Diversity. We will start by answering the question, "Why does biodiversity matter?" From this hook, we will investigated species variation and interdependence. I will update the blog depending on how far we get. This week we will complete our Lead Us activity and begin our work in planning Terry Fox! We will also discuss Leadership Hours and HR reps.
